Cam Ward Supports Special Olympics N.C.

Letter of Endorsement

November 12, 2007

Dear Sir or Madam:

Cam Ward

Early in my hockey career, I was fortunate enough to meet a Special Olympics Ontario athlete who also happened to work for my team, The Red Deer Rebels. We became very close friends and I marveled at his positive attitude and great accomplishments in life. Special Olympics gave him tremendous confidence and lots opportunities to develop both physically and socially.

Our friendship introduced me to Special Olympics and I look to support the organization wherever possible. During the Carolina Hurricanes' regular season, I partner with Caniac fans to raise funds for Special Olympics North Carolina through my Cam's Champs campaign. I also host athletes at home games throughout the year. I see first-hand that Special Olympics is changing attitudes, and changing lives and I am proud to Be a fan.

On the evening of September 27 2998, you too will have the chance to Be a fan during the Cary Gala, hosted by the Cary Police Department as part of the fundraising initiative for Special Olympics North Carolina. This fantastic evening will support and celebrate Special Olympics athletes as they share stories of courage, determination, self-confidence and ability!

I am pleased to endorse the Cary Police Department's efforts and I hope you will consider supporting the Cary Gala to benefit Special Olympics North Carolina. Join me and the cary Police Officers...Be a fan of Special Olympics!

With kind regards,

Cam Ward
